With the 300 SLR and the almost legendary starting number 722 Stirling Moss and his co-pilot Dennis Jenkinson became the victors of the 22nd edition of the Mille Miglia in 1955. They even set a fantastic new track record of 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds. So this 1,600 km long endurance race became the fastest Mille Miglia of all times with an average of 156.3 km/h.
